Marion City Offices to Close in Observance of Labor Day

A schedule of labor day closings coming up this weekend for the City of Marion.

Marion City Hall and other City offices will close on Monday, September 2 in observance of Labor Day. Regular business hours resume on Tuesday, September 3. The Police and Fire Departments, along with other critical City services, will remain unaffected by the closure.

Marion Public Library will be closed Sunday, September 1 and Monday, September 2. The library will reopen on Tuesday, September 3.

Garbage and recycling will not be collected on Labor Day and pick-up will be delayed by a day through Saturday. The Recycling Drop-off Center located at 195 35th Street will maintain its normal hours; Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. – 4:15 p.m. and Tuesdays from noon- 5:45 p.m.

Utility payments will be accepted via either drop box located outside City Hall. Drop boxes are located at the building entrance along 6th Avenue and near the 12th Street driveway entrance.
