Marion Teen On Bicycle Struck By Truck

MARION, IA — A young bicyclist was injured Thursday when he was struck by a truck while riding in a crosswalk. The Cedar Rapids Gazette reported the bicyclist, a teenager, was in the crosswalk and a crossing guard was helping children cross the street when a driver turned from Tower Terrace onto Tenth Street and hit the bicyclist.

Police reported the teen's injuries were minor, the Gazette story said. The driver of the truck, Todd Evans, 50, was not injured. He received a traffic citation.
