Weather Pulls a 180 Toward Fall: Rain and Cooler this Week in Marion Weather

Remember the last several weeks, where we were mired in a month long drought and it was so hot it made you regret it every time you went outside?

This week, not so much.

The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities is predicting a continuation of very fall like temperatures from this past weekend in Marion. We even could get a chance for more rain in the middle of the week.

The area also will have some chance for severe weather this week, although this not appear to be all that likely.

DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY THERE IS A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS LATE TUESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY. THE THREAT FOR SEVERE WEATHER APPEARS LOW AT THIS TIME.

• Tuesday A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 72.
• Tuesday Night Showers and thunderstorms likely. Cloudy, with a low around 61. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
• Wednesday A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 78. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
• Wednesday Night A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65.
• Thursday A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 81.
