What's With Marion Man's Petition to Study Linn County Board of Supervisors?
Richard Bice, of Marion, plans to speak with City Council about a petition to study the Linn County Board of Supervisors, however officials are still trying to figure out what it's about.

A Marion man has received petition to speak with Marion City Council about a petition to study the Linn County Board of Supervisors.
The presentation by Richard Bice, of Marion, is the first item on the agenda for today's meeting, which begins at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall.Â
However, city leaders said this week and last that they know nothing about the petition or the context for the presentation, and Bice did not return phone messages this week or last.Â
Linn County Auditor Joel Miller, who has been feuding with the Board of Supervisors, has suggested studying the form of government in Linn County. It's not clear if the two items are related.Â
Citizens are typically welcome to address the City Council during the public comment period at the beginning of the meeting, so this request is not unusual, they said.Â
