• Cherokee Regional Medical Center hosts open house in Primghar regarding the town's medical clinic (siouxlandproud.com) — Primghar residents just learned that Cherokee Regional Medical Center will officially take over the town’s remaining medical clinic on December 27, aiming to restore some lost services after the hospital’s 2024 closure. At a community meeting in the Primghar Community Center, the CEO outlined plans to gradually add imaging, therapies, and other outpatient care, similar to what the system provides in nearby small towns.
   

• Man arrested for attempted murder after shooting at Jeep (nwestiowa.com) — A Spirit Lake man is jailed in Primghar after being charged with attempted murder in a May highway shooting that injured a Hartley driver. The case is being handled through O’Brien County District Court in Primghar, where a preliminary hearing is set and the suspect faces additional felony assault charges for allegedly kicking officers at the county jail.
