• Harvey to graduate after years of making Huskers feel at home (unl.edu) — Underwood native Jackson Harvey is graduating from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln this week and already has an accounting and internal audit job lined up with Kiewit. He credits his small-town roots, campus mentors, and leadership roles in fraternities, internships, and tour guiding for helping him grow from a shy numbers kid into a confident professional.
   

• Reivers Win Fourth J.C. Football National Championship (westerniowatoday.com) — An Underwood High School graduate, kicker Gus Bashore, went a perfect 4-for-4 on extra points as Iowa Western stormed back to win the junior college national football championship. The Reivers scored 28 unanswered points, dominated defensively with 10 sacks, and secured their fourth national title while avenging an earlier loss to Hutchinson.
