Beth Haag's grandfather, Larry, was the first owner of the car. The car, which has only 71,000 miles on it, was then passed on to his son, Ron.
The car, which originally cost $4,000, was used on many family trips, Beth Haag said.
"It was a real special car to my grandfather, because it was only the second car that he bought new," Haag told KCCI.
Brown said the car means a lot to the dealership as well.
"It's just something special for the Browns to have. It reminds me of my dad and how we started this whole thing,β he said in the TV interview.
While the car drives comfortable, and everything works, Brown said he'll only drive the Impala for special occasions.
Haag said there is no better place for the car to be than at Bob Brown.
"I think the biggest thing is, my grandpa has to be so proud that his car is on the showroom floor after 45 years, because it was such a big thing for him to keep it clean and everything,β She told KCCI.
