Bachmann, Santorum To Speak at Dallas GOP Fundraiser

Dallas County Republicans will get two sides of campaign rhetoric Thursday night with their bowls of chili.

The second annual fundraising dinner for the county party will be at the Dallas County Fairgrounds Community Building in Adel.  The doors open at 6 p.m. and the program begins at 6:30, said chairman Mike Elam.

For $15 a person, or $45 for a family, the meal will include a bowl of Master Grillers chilli with fixings, corn bread and a choice of several desserts. 

“Dallas County represents the fastest growing county in Iowa and will be an important county to carry in the upcoming Iowa caucuses," said Elam, noting that other Dallas County officials also will be present, speaking to "issues that are important to conservatives.”

Dallas County party officials encouraged party members to invite friends, family members and neighbors to attend..

“The event will be a great atmosphere to bring family and friends to meet and speak with presidential candidates as the caucus season continues to heat up,” said county co-chairwomen Christi Taylor.
