1. Urbandale vs. Johnston Varsity football game
Where/When: Frerichs Field/Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
Why Go: Urbandale and Johnston are both 2-1 and looking for that third win. Urbandale fans are encouraged to wear black.

2. Waukee girls volleyball tournaments

Where/When: Varsity at Waukee High School/Saturday at 9 a.m. Ninth-grade at Waukee Prairieview School/Saturday at 9 a.m.

Price: $5 for adults and students in grades 9-12 and $3 for students K-8
3. Photography Workshop
Where/When: Living History Farms/Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Why Go: Photography experts who specialize in Canon, Nikon and Tamron cameras and will offer a workshop on basic and advanced photography.
Price: $12 for adults , $11 for senior 60 and older, $7 for children 12 and under .
4. Vitality Choreography Camp
Where/When: Urbandale High School Choir Room/Sunday noon to 5 p.m.
Why Go: A choreography camp held for teens.
Pricing: FREE
5. Meet Urbandale Patch Editor Anne Carothers-Kay
Where/When: PerKup Cafe/Saturday, 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.
