J-Hawks Take On Hoover in Substate Final Tonight

If they J-Hawks win they move onto the State Tournament.

The J-Hawks road to state continues tonight.

The boys basketball team (16-6) takes on Des Moines Hoover (18-3) in the substrate final game at 7 p.m. at Johnston High School.

The game was originally scheduled for Tuesday evening, but was postponed because of winter weather.

This isn't the first meeting between the two teams, the J-Hawks already beat Hoover 68-65 on Jan. 15 in Urbandale.

Urbandale beat Southeast Polk 54-51 in substate play on Feb. 22.

If the J-Hawks are victorious tonight, they will play on March 6 in the State Tournament at Wells Fargo Arena.
