More Snow For the Metro This Weekend? But It's Spring!

Spring or no spring, we could see more of the white stuff this weekend. But there is also hope for warmer temperatures in the forecast.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, Urbandale, but despite spring having officially arrived, we could still see more snow this weekend.

The National Weather Service predicts a 30 percent chance of snow overnight Saturday and into Sunday. AccuWeather says we could get 2 to 4 inches.

KCCI reports southern Iowa could see 4 to 7 inches of the white stuff.

A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for the southern third of the state from 7 p.m. Saturday through 7 p.m. Sunday. Stay tuned for any updates on this impending spring storm.

However, it should stay fairly warm (yes, all things are relative). The forecast calls for temperatures in the 30s most of the week, with a high of 40 on Thursday.
