Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt Is Urbandale Readers' Choice

The votes are counted and we detect a distinct preference for frozen yogurt over ice cream or custard in Urbandale.

is Urbandale Patch readers' choice over Yo 2 Go among the two self-serve frozen yogurt shops in town.

Orange Leaf,tallied 69 percent of the votes, to 16 percent. came in third with 9 percent.  and  covered the bottom of the poll.

Brenda Burgett wrote of of Orange Leaf: "Orange Leaf is by far the best. They change out their flavors and toppings more than Yo 2 Go."

Susan Johnson likes all of Yo 2 Go's flavors and toppings "and a really friendly staff."

"We're honored and excited. I think everybody we were up against has awesome frozen treats," said Mindy LeBlanc, Orange Leaf's general manager.

So why did Orange Leaf get the most votes?

"I don't know," she said. "Maybe because we're new, we're hip. Our decor is awesome. And we provide free Wi-Fi."

So if you haven't tried Orange Leaf, this weekend would be a good time to stop in. They are featuring Hazelnut, Blueberry and English Toffee flavors.
