Police Blotter Rewind: Discharged Firearms, Thefts
Several reports were taken Dec. 6 to Dec. 12 by the Urbandale Police Department.

The Urbandale police reports below are preliminary criminal charges. They do not represent convictions or court resolutions.
Dec. 6
A 17-year-old Urbandale High School student was arrested for drug possession - possession without prescription.
A 71-year-old man reported identity theft.
Andrea Gulling, 24, was charged with driving while barred - habitual offender.
A 53-year-old man reported a burglary.
A 70-year-old woman reported someone used her information to secure a loan.
A 27-year-old woman reported her credit card was used fraudulently.
Officers were dispatched to the WestPointe Apartments for a report of trespass. Upon arrival, Mursin Hajric, 35, was located and found to have been trespassed from the property in September. He was arrested and charged with criminal trespass.
Kum & Go, 6990 Douglas Avenue, reported a gas drive-off.
Dec. 7
Gabriel Mendez, 22, was arrested for public intoxication, harassment of an officer, criminal mischief and an outstanding warrant.
Timothy Gorman, 29, was arrested for trespassing and possession of drugs.
Lorenzo Johnson, 29, was charged with shoplifting from Kohl's.
Dec. 8
Officers responded to a call of discharging a firearm in city limits. A 32-year-old woman reported the firearm discharged when she attempting to clean it.
Wesley Tull, 52, male, was charged with driving while barred.
Dec. 9
Justin Copeland, 33 male was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Elizabeth Tyrrell, 53, was arrested for theft.
Dec. 10
A 16-year-old Urbandale High School student reported their iPod Touch was stolen while at school.
Derek Kopacek, 18, was arrested for disorderly conduct at Urbandale High School.
Dec. 12
A 47-year-old man reported his iPhone was stolen from the 7100 block of Aurora Avenue.
A 14-year-old male was charged with criminal mischief after officers reported to the 13500 block of Oak Brook Drive to a report of someone cutting down trees.
