Police Blotter Rewind: Identity Theft, Stolen Tires

Several reports were taken Dec. 13 to Dec. 17 by the Urbandale Police Department.

The Urbandale police reports below are preliminary criminal charges. They do not represent convictions or court resolutions.

Dec. 13
A 71-year-old man reported identity theft.

A 28-year-old man reported several tires stolen from the 7400 block of Douglas Avenue

A father reported his 17-year-old daughter received phone calls from Polk County Jail in violation of a no contact order.

Dec. 14
A 64-year-old man was arrested for attempting to steal $497 worth of merchandise from Urbandale Hy-Vee.

A 21-year-old man reported his car stolen.

A 41 year old man was arrested for driving while barred, failure to obey a traffic control device and no insurance.

Dec. 15
A 63-year-old man reported that a trailer was broken into and several items stolen while parked in the Merle Hay Mall Parking lot.

A 41-year-old man reported criminal mischief to a vehicle.

Orchestrate Hospitality reported an ex-employee used a stolen credit card to purchase merchandise.

Dec. 16
A 16-year-old male was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Shelley Behrens, 39, was arrested for driving operating while intoxicated.

Dec. 17
A 23 year old man was arrested for domestic assault, obstruction of emergency communications and child endangerment.
