Popular Urbandale Junior Detective Classes Now Open

The Urbandale Police Department again will offer Junior Detective classes twice this spring.

The has opened enrollment for our next JuniorΒ Detective classes. The classes have been set for March 31st and April 14, 2012.

The classes run from 10a.m. to 1p.m. This class is for ages 8-12 years old and toΒ Urbandale residents ONLY with a cost of $10.00 per child. This is a very popularΒ class that fills up quickly with a 12-student limit.

Participants work with an Urbandale Police Detective and an Urbandale PoliceΒ Officer. Participants are taught criminal investigative techniques to help solve aΒ mock crime.

They will view a burglary and process fingerprints and otherΒ evidence found at the crime scene. They will get to work in the police lab toΒ compare prints and to dust for fingerprints! The class also includes touring theΒ police station and a light treat and juice.

We will have a waiting list for non-Urbandale residents.
