Special Weather Alert: Urbandale
The National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a weather alert for Urbandale and other parts of the Des Moines metro.
Be careful out there tonight and Friday morning, Urbandale – things are going to get thick.
And by thick, we mean the National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a dense fog advisory for Urbandale, the Des Moines metro, as well as a good portion of Iowa. The advisory is in affect from 9 p.m. Thursday until 9 a.m. Friday.
According to the weather advisory for Urbandale, incoming moisture will combine with additional surface moisture caused by the light rain and snow melt our area is seeing today. This will lead to the development of dense fog across much of central Iowa tonight and into Friday.

Tonight's forecast is calling for rain and drizzle with a low near 35 degrees. Tomorrow, we'll likely see areas of drizzle before noon and a high near 49 degrees.
Cooler temps are expected to return to our area by Saturday, with the high only reaching the upper-20s.
