How Much Will the Cost to Use the Urbandale Public Pool Increase?

The new rates go into effect April 1.

Thinking of hosting at group event at the Urbandale Public Swimming Pool this summer?

You may want to double check the rental rates when budgeting for your event.

On Monday, the Urbandale City Council approved new group rental rates for the pool.

The new rates will go into effect on April 1, 2013, except for Central Iowa Aquatics.Β 

Central Iowa Aquatics has a current lease through June 1, 2013.Β

In addition, the Council granted Central Iowa Aquatics a two-year phase in period for the new rates, reducing the groups increase by 50% this first year.

Daily admission, $4, and the annual pass rates were not increased at the meeting.

Group Rental Rates:

Rental Category New Rate Non-Profit with 50.1 percent Urbandale Resident Participation $30 per hour Non-Profit with less than 50 percent Urbandale Resident Participation $42 per hour Non-profit (Urbandale majority) without a certified staff person $60 per hour Non-profit (Non-Urbandale majority) without a certified staff person $72 per hour General Rental

$86 per hourΒ  for 1-30 people

$98 per hour for 31-100 people

$125 per hourΒ  for 101-250 people
