Urbandale Council Opens Bids for Meredith Drive Paving Project
A public meeting will be held on Feb. 5.

The reconstruction of Meredith Drive to a four lane road is one step closer to reality.
On Tuesday, the Urbandale City Council approved the bidding for the construction on Meredith Drive from 142nd Street to 156th Street.
The estimated $5.8 million project is expected to be completed in Nov. 2013.

The paving will be 8 and a quarter inch thick reinforced portland cement concrete with two 26-feet wide paving sections and a 28-foot grass median.
Also included in this project would be a bridge crossing over Walnut Creek, grading, clearing and grubbing, storm sewer, pavement markings, and restoration.

Bigs for the project will be accepted starting Jan. 9 and a public meeting to consider all bids received will be held Feb. 5.
