Urbandale Crews Ready Streets For Morning Commute

Urbandale residents should have an easy morning commute.

Side streets are open and pre-treatment put down yesterday have helped main streets, Dave McKay, Public Works Director told the Des Moines Register.

Crews continued work through the night with little problem.

McKay was hopeful that snow would be curbed by noon.

Police officials said residents must have heeded warnings of road contains and stayed home, as few accidents have been reported.

A winter storm warning remains in effect for much of Iowa until noon, but snow is very light.

Snow totals are estimated to be 4 to 7 inches before the day is over.
