Urbandale: Enjoy January Thaw Part Deux this Week, As Cold Air is Around the Corner

Get some good outdoors time in this week, as next week looks like it might take a turn for the worst.

The forecast for the area from the National Weather Service in the Quad Cities indicates that highs in the Urbandale area will be in the low 40s and upper 30s.

But once again, don't get out those shorts too soon, as beginning Sunday the temperatures will get colder as a front rolls in, potentially dropping a little snow but mosty just bringing cold, with high temperatures on Martin Luther King day dropping to 18 degrees, with -8 degree windchill.

If you're a skating or ice fishing fan, this should be good news, as while it should warm up a bit next week as the week goes on, it looks as if it will remain below freezing all week.
