Urbandale Police Blotter: Oct. 28-Nov. 2

Here are some of the incidents that kept Urbandale police busy last week.

Nov. 2: Benjamin Allen Parsons, 22, of Clive, was arrested and charged with drunken driving and leaving the scene of an accident.

Nov. 1: Cozy Cafe, 3955 121st St. reported that someone passed two counterfeit $20 bills at the restaurant.

Nov. 1: Andres Tobias Chavez, 38, of Urbandale, was arrested and charged with domestic assault of his 20-year-old girlfriend. He was arrested at 2511 Canterbury Road.Β

Oct. 31: Tracey May Harms, 34, of Des Moines was arrested in the 4600 block of Merle Hay Road on a charge of driving while barred.

Oct. 28: Four drivers in Urbandale were very unhappy with a fifth driver who caused a five-car chain reaction and then left the scene of the accident.Β An Urbandale accident report indicates that an unidentified vehicle struck a Buick driven by Megan Smith of Oakfield, Wis. in the 5100 block of Northwest Urbandale Avenue.
The Buick struck Jeffrey Hawley of Johnston's Hyundai; which struck David Combs of West Des Moines' Toyota; which struck Rebecca Ashley of West Des Moines' VW Jetta. No one was injured and damages to each car ranged from $1,500 to $2,000.
