Urbandale Voters Add Kruidenier to School Board
In a tiny turnout for an uncontested race, Urbandale voters returned three incumbents to the school board and approved a newcomer.

Urbandale's uncontested school board election attracted few voters, but those who voted apparently approved of all four candidates.Β
Mark Wierson, Adam Obrecht, Cate Newberg and Kyle Kruidenier each received between 155 and 170 votes. Terms are four years. Fourteen votes were cast for write-in candidates, according to the Polk County election office.Β
About one percent of Urbandale's 14,233 registered voters participated in the election.

Newberg, 157 votes; Obrecht, 157 votes; and Wierson, 170 votes; are incumbents. Newcomer Kruidenier received 155 votes according to unofficial results posted Tuesday night by the election office.Β
