Urbandale Weather Alert: Hazardous Weather Outlook Snow, Sleet Possible

Something called an Alberta Clipper type storm is coming our way.

What does this mean for the Urbandale area?

You guessed it, snow, and potentially a lot of it.

The National Weather Service in the Des Moines announced a hazardous weather outlook through the next week.

The outlook calls for a chance of sleet and snow after 9 p.m. Sunday, before switching to snow after midnight.

Monday, the forecast calls for chances of rain and snow during the day and all snow in the evening.

Snow totals were not yet available.

The Weather Underground multi day forecast has temperatures increasing into the high 30s and low 40s after the storm leaves later in the week.
