I'm excited to be the editor of Urbandale Patch. I've lived here for a dozen years. For more years than that, I was a newspaper reporter and editor and then a magazine editor.

I honed my skills in the world of print journalism and now I'm lucky enough to have a job that lets me explore my community and use 21st-century communication to connect with readers.

To me, the best things about living in Urbandale are the great city services, the can-do spirit of the community, and its fantastic network of trails and recreational opportunities.
