1) Get Your Workout In This Weekend
The Waukee YMCA wants to remind everyone that both gyms will be closed beginning August 15 so that the floors can be redone. The rest of the facility will be open and operational. The two gyms will reopen on August 22. For questions, call the Waukee YMCA at 987-9996.

It’s Land O’Lakes Day at the Iowa State Fair today. Visitors to the Land O’Lakes milk booth on the Grand Concourse can grab free milk samples and try their luck in a milk moustache contest. Gates open at 7 a.m. and regular admission is $10 for adults, $4 for ages 6-11 and children 5 and under are free. Â

5) Top Off the Tank
According to IowaStateGasPrices.com, the Casey's locations at E. University & Boone Drive, Highway 6 and Warrior Lane and Ute Avenue and I-80 all have gas for $3.51 a gallon.
