5 Things Waukee Residents Should Know: August 9

1) Waukee Schools Registration Due Today

If you haven't signed your child up for the 2011-2012 school year, today is the last day to get online to register. Parents should have received a letter in the mail regarding online registration. If you haven't yet received it or are having problems with your registration, please contact the Waukee Schools District Office at 987-2706.

2) Waukee School Board Meeting Tonight

The Waukee School Board will meet tonight at 7 p.m. at the Waukee Community Schools District Office.

3) Planning & Zoning Meeting Canceled 

Tonight's regular meeting of the Waukee Planning & Zoning Committee has been canceled. For more details, go to the city's website.

4) The Weather

Get out and enjoy the day! The weather will be gorgeous! Today will be mostly sunny with a high near 83. Tonight, it will be partly cloudy with a low around 60. That almost calls for a sweatshirt!

5) Fill’er Up!

It still costs an arm and a leg, but if you're looking for the cheapest gas in Waukee, check out the Casey's at E. University and Boone Drive. They have gas for $3.52 a gallon, according to IowaStateGasPrices.com.
