A story that ran on Veterans Day on Waukee Patch regarding what's open and closed on the holiday stated that there would be a delay in yard waste collection due to the holiday.
That statement was incorrect.
According to officials at Waukee City Hall, that misinformation has resulted in some missed pick-ups of yard waste this week.

If your yard waste collection was missed this week, the city asks that you either leave it out for collection on Monday, Nov. 19 or call the city's Utility Office at (515) 978-5502 to schedule a pick-up.
