Dallas County Fair Begins Wednesday in Adel

The annual Dallas County Fair runs July 11-15 at the Dallas County Fairgrounds in Adel.

Nothing like a good ole' county fair to officially mark the beginning of summer.

The Dallas County Fair begins tomorrow and runs through July 15 at the Dallas County Fairgrounds in Adel.

There's so much going on this year that even the pickiest family member is bound to find something they want to do, see or eat. And thanks to daily sponsors, admission to the fairgrounds is free.

Some of the highlights of this year's fair include:

  • The Next Generation Show Carnival through Sunday (hours vary each day).
  • The IRCA/URA Rodeo, Motorcross and Figure 8 races.
  • Daily entertainment featuring puppet shows, a stilt walker, magician, pony rides and balloon animals.

Wednesday, July 10

The Dallas County Fairgrounds are located just off of highway 169 on the north side of Adel. From Interstate 80 or highway 6, follow highway 169 north to the Dallas County Fairgrounds on the north side of Adel, Turn left (west) to enter the fairgrounds. From highway 44, follow highway 169 south to the Dallas County Fairgrounds on the north side of Adel. Turn right (west) to enter the fairgrounds.
