Desmund Adams Goes High Tech in his Quest for Senate Seat

Desmund Adams' campaign has gone high tech in an effort to better connect with voters in Senate District 22.

Submitted by Desmund Adams for Senate

The Adams for Senate Campaign has launched a number of new “high-tech/high-touch” applications to the DesmundAdams.com website in an effort to better communicate with voters in Iowa Senate District 22 (Clive, Waukee, West Des Moines, Windsor Heights) as well as individuals following the race from outside the district.  “From the very beginning I have made it a priority to engage the voters inside and supporters outside of the district”, says Adams.  “I want to listen to all points of view and give people who are signed up on DesmundAdams.com a number of vehicles where they can post their thoughts and opinions on my proposed policy issues.”

Individuals who become “members” of DesmundAdams.com can engage directly with the candidate in a live chat program as well as read and comment on policy statements regarding a wide range of issues from Women & Business to Jobs and Economic Development.  “This campaign has been aggressive in using all forms of social media to connect and communicate with interested parties”, added Michael P. Libbie the campaign director for media/communications.  “We keep an active Twitter Feed an active Facebook Page, YouTube site and a new interactive e-mail program and blog all of which can be accessed from the campaign website.   Additionally we have a feature similar to Facebook by allowing members on our website to "friend" each other thereby facilitating relationships among interest groups and individuals.  These new adjustments now offer even more flexibility and responsiveness as we move on to November.”

Libbie said one of the more interesting functions is the Live Chat that will be monitored during specific times and dates so that individuals who wish to communicate directly with Adams during upcoming live forums may do so.  “It’s exciting to be part of a campaign that is this energetic and dynamic when it comes to constitute communications.”
