Few Details Released in Accident That Injured Waukee Police Officers Saturday

Two Waukee police officers were involved in a car accident Saturday afternoon that left three people with minor injuries.

According to the Waukee Police Department, an officer struck a vehicle turning left off Northeast Dartmoor Drive onto Hickman Road Saturday afternoon around 3:36 p.m.

There were two people in the patrol car and one in the other vehicle. All three people suffered minor injuries in the accident.

The case is currently under investigation and no additional information has been released, including the names of the police officers involved.

The Waukee Police Department said the driver of the car was issued a citation for failure to obey stop sign.
