Five Things Waukee Residents Should Know: August 21
Here's what's going on in Waukee today and some other stuff you might want to know.

1) Iowa State Fair
Today is the last day of the Iowa State Fair. Known as Extreme Sunday, there’s half-price gate admission all day. No entry or reentry after 9 p.m. and carloads of five or more park free in the Fairgrounds’ North lot.  Admission today is $5 for adults, $2 for children ages 6-11, and children 5 and under are free.
2) Waukee Teacher Workday

Waukee teachers will have a district-wide workday today beginning at 8:00 a.m. Just in time for the first full week of the 2011-2012 school year to begin.
3) Live at the Creek

5) Gas Prices
According to IowaStateGasPrices.com, the price of gas remains steady at $3.47 at the Kum & Go stations at Ute Avenue and I-80, and University and L.A. Grant Parkway, as well as the Casey's at Highway 6 and Warrior Lane and University and Boone Drive.
