Here's what's going on in Waukee today and some other stuff you might want to know.

1) Waukee Chamber Business After Hours
Members of the Waukee Chamber of Commerce are invited to the Waukee Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours tonight at Warrior Lanes from 5 to 7 p.m. Bowling, appetizers and beverages are included. Please RSVP to www.waukeechamber.com/registration. Â
2) Mosquito Spraying Tonight

It's the last night of the season for mosquito spraying. Spraying will begin tonight at 9 p.m. You are urged to contact City Hall if you have a medical condition and they will add your address to the 'Do Not Spray Area' list.
3) Shuler and Waukee Elementary Curriculum Night Tonight

Shuler Elementary and Waukee Elementary Schools will both host a Curriculum Night tonight to discuss curriculum in your child's classroom. Teachers will meet parents in their child's classroom from 6 to 8 p.m. (depending on your child's grade level). Please check with the school for exact times. Parents are asked not to bring children, if possible, so that parents and teachers can discuss without interruption.
4) Happy Time Daycare Parents Meeting
Parents of the Happy Time Preschool & Daycare center who have been displaced by the center’s closing will meet tonight at the Waukee Public Library from 6 to 7 p.m. to discuss child care options for their children. Parents with questions or concerns are encouraged to call Andi Tisor at 554-2013.
5) Â Girls Night Out
The Waukee Family YMCA is hosting a Girls Night Out for girls entering 5th and 6th grade tonight from 7 to 8:30 p.m. There will be crafts, activities, teambuilding and fun. The program is free and registration is not required.The theme for this evenings program is Designer DNA - Celebrate your talents, passions and uniqueness.Â
