1) Mosquito Spraying Tonight

Mosquito spraying will commence at 9 p.m. this evening. If you have a medical condition that might be affected by the spray, please contact Waukee City Hall and they will add your address to a  ‘Do Not Spray Area’ list.

Finally, a respite from the heat. Today, there’s a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. The day will be mostly cloudy with a high of 82. Tonight, much of the same with a low of 67.

4) Happy Twins Day!

Today is offcially Twins Day, when duplicates from all over the world celebrate their twindom. Double the fun and hop a flight to Twinsburg, Ohio where they will begin the annual celebration of twins tomorrow. It runs through the weekend.

5) Gas Prices

Did someone say road trip?  According to IowaStateGasPrices.com, both the Kum & Go at Ute Ave. & I-80 and Casey’s at University & Boone Drive have gas for $3.60 a gallon.
