1) Rotary Club of Waukee Meeting

Interested in joining the Rotary Club? The group will meet this morning at 6:45 a.m. at the Des Moines Golf & Country Club in West Des Moines. 

2) Polka Club of Iowa Performance

The Polka Club of Iowa will perform today at the Waukee High School Auditorium from 1:15 to 2:45 p.m.

3) Waukee Girl Scouts Meeting

The Troop 102 Waukee Girl Scouts will meet today at Waukee Elementary School from 4 to 5:30 p.m. If you miss this meeting, catch the next one on October 13. 

4) Waukee Arts Council Ribbon Cutting

The Waukee Arts Council will have a ribbon-cutting today at ArtsCentral, 405 Maple St., to celebrate the Home Grown Talent Series. The event begins at 5:30. The ribbon cutting will be done at 6 p.m. RSVP to www.waukeechamber.com/registration.

5) The Dallas County GOP Steak Fry

The Dallas County Republican Party is hosting a steak fry fundraiser and pie auction tonight at Point of Grace Church at 6:30 p.m. Iowa Lieutenant Governor Kim Reynolds will be the keynote speaker.
