How and Where to Vote in Tuesday's General Election
The general election is Tuesday. Here's everything you need to know before hitting the polls.
The general election is finally here. On Tuesday, Waukee residents will choose candidates in races at the county, state and, of course, a national level.
So, make your plans today to get out and vote tomorrow. It's easy. Below you'll find everything you need to know to make your voice heard.
Voting Eligibility

According to the Iowa Secretary of State's website, to vote in Iowa, you must be a registered to vote. To qualify to register to vote, you must be:
- A U.S. citizen
- An Iowa resident
- At least 17 1/2 years old (must be 18 years old by election day to vote)
You cannot:

- Be a convicted felon (unless your voting rights have been restored)
- Be judged mentally incompetent to vote by a court
- Claim the right to vote in any other place

Polling Places
You have all day to get out and cast your vote in the general election on Tuesday. All polling places will be open from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m.

Waukee 2 - Waukee YMCA, 210 N. Warrior Ln.
Waukee 3 - Waukee Public Works Building, 805 University Ave.
Waukee 4 - Westview Church, 1155 S.E. Boone Dr.,
Waukee 5 - St. Boniface Church, 1200 Warrior Ln.
Waukee 6 - Waukee School Administration Building, 560 S.E. University Ave.
