Iowa State Fair Awards Waukee Residents with Ribbons
The Iowa State Fair hosted several contestants from Waukee this year, many who took home blue ribbons.
The 2011 Iowa State Fair ended Sunday night but the ribbon mentions just keep on coming in for many residents of Waukee who took home a ribbon this year in one of the many contests at the Fair.
- Kenzie Piper of Waukee claimed second place in the Nutella Desserts competition.Â
- Thomas McKern took second place in the Appetizer class in the Soy Oil Frying Frenzy contest.Â
- Karen Pavlik took Second Place Overall in the Midwest Living Cookies competition.
- Brendon Snell, 35, took third place in the Adult division of the Whistling competition held at the Iowa State Fair.
