One Year Ago on Waukee Patch: Taylor Hale's Remarkable Recovery
It was just one year ago when a car accident critically injured a Waukee teenager. Today, that same teen is defying the odds.
Last year on Sept. 9, life changed in the blink of an eye for Waukee teenager Taylor Hale.
Hale, then just 14-years-old, at a post-football game gathering in Urbandale.
as she would spend weeks at Blank Children's Hospital trying to recover from her injuries.

After 42 days, Hale was released to go home where her recovery continued.
Today, Hale is a student at Waukee High School and, according to a story on WHO-TV, hopes to try out for the basketball and cheerleading squads this fall.
