Patch Poll: Is $60 Million in Fines Unfair to the Penn State Football Program?

Whether you're a football fan or not, you've undoubtedly heard the sordid details about the sex abuse scandal involving Penn State University's former assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky.

In June, Sandusky was found guilty of 45 of 48 counts of abusing at least 10 young boys. He's expected to be sentenced in September.

Since the story broke last year, Penn State University's football program, its coaches, university officials and ultimately, the fans have suffered the consequences of Sandusky's actions.

Today, they'll face even more when the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) hands down fines reportedly reaching $60 million, along with other sanctions that could ultimately scar the program for years to come.
