According to Chief Michelle Leonard of the Dallas Center Police Department, 17 cadets and three junior instructors completed this year's program. She said the group attitudes and dynamics changed dramatically over the last couple weeks.
"The first day, I was met with a lot of defiance," Leonard said of the group. "There were those that were made to be here and some who had this false impression that they are tough on the outside. We managed to break that down and get to what they’re really like. They are showing good improvement and really starting to think outside the box."
