PHOTOS: Jake Knott Gives the Cyclones a Boost Against the Sooners

Jake Knott may be out for the season but the Iowa State Cyclones are still getting a boost from the linebacker on the sidelines.

When Jake Knott's football career at Iowa State University ended due to a shoulder injury, it didn't hold him back.

Less than a week after surgery, on Nov. 3, Knott returned to Jack Trice Stadium to give his teammates a boost against the Oklahoma Sooners.

Knott, a Waukee High School alum and Iowa State linebacker, was twice named the Big 12's Defensive Player of the Week this season and three times during his run at Iowa State.
