Police Blotter: Accidents and OWIs in Waukee

Aug. 15

A vehicle driven by George Dorrell of Des Moines struck a vehicle driven by Timothy Scheve of Clive. Vehicle damage was estimated at $3,500. Scheve was cited for failure to yield on a left turn. 

Aug. 16

A vehicle driven by Scott Goecke of Urbandale was pulling a trailer when wood he was hauling fell in the street striking a vehicle driven by Seth Keller of Dallas Center. Vehicle damage was estimated at $1,000.

Aug. 17

A vehicle driven by Damon Lampley of Clive was struck by a bicycle driven by Marion McKim of Waukee. Vehicle damage was estimated at $500.

Aug. 18

Tray Wade of Waukee was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated (first offense).

Vehicles driven by Charlotte Witte of Newton and Terry Strain of Urbandale struck one another when one of the vehicles crossed the center line. Vehicle damage was estimated at $2,500.

Cale Bergstrom of Waukee was arrested and charged with driving while suspended. He was also cited for speeding.

A vehicle driven by Kira Griffis of Troy, NY was struck by a vehicle driven by Anthony Weiland of Adel. vehicle damage was estimated at $9,500. Weiland was cited for failure to stop in assured clear distance.

Aug. 20

Juan Bustamante of Waukee was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated (first offense.)
