Police Blotter: Accidents, Speeding and Other Moving Violations in Waukee
Several moving violations and traffic accidents occurred the week of July 23 in Waukee including a rear end accident and even a near miss with a couple deer.

July 23
Vehicles driven by Derrick Ogden of West Des Moines and Sherry Williams of Norwalk struck one another while backing out of parking spaces. Vehicle damage was estimated at $1,000.

A vehicle driven by Phillip Jeneary of Clive was struck by a vehicle driven by Andrew Smith of Clive. Vehicle damage was estimated at $7,500. Smith was cited for failure to stop in assured clear distance.
July 24

A vehicle driven by Joshua Hutton of Waukee struck a vehicle driven by David Arnold of St. Louis Park, Minn. when a third vehicle driven by Upendo Sempambo of Waukee struck Arnold's vehicle. Vehicle damage was estimated at $5,100. Sempambo was cited for an expired license plate and failure to stop in assured clear distance.
Christopher Weih of Waukee was arrested and charged with driving while revoked. Weih was also cited for failure to wear a seat belt.
July 25
A vehicle driven by Kaleb Sharp of Dallas Center struck a legally parked vehicle in the 600 block of Southeast Carefree Lane. Vehicle damage was estimated at $1,400.
July 26
Kathy Myers of Booneville was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated (first offense). Myers was also cited for speeding.
July 27
Bradley Rector of Waukee was arrested and charged with driving while revoked. rector was also cited for operation without registration.
July 28
John Stocker of Waukee was arrested and charged with driving while suspended. Stocker was cited for speeding.
July 29
A vehicle driven by Aaron Campisi of Van Meter swerved to avoid two deer, went into a ditch and a barbed wire fence. Vehicle damage was estimated at $1,500.
