Police Blotter: Copper Theft Reported in Waukee
Waukee police responded to a theft last week that resulted in the theft of copper from a vehicle.

Copper prices are on the rise which means so are thefts of the "precious" metal, even in Waukee.
On Sunday afternoon, Oct. 28, a Waukee man reported a theft from a motor vehicle. A window on a van parked at a residence in the 300 block of Christopher Drive had been broken and items were taken from the vehicle.

The vehicle sustained approximately $200 damage. Copper valued at $1,100 was taken from the vehicle.
No arrests have been made in the incident.
