Police: Juvenile Allegedly Caught Smoking Pot in School Parking Lot
A Waukee teenager was charged with smoking weed last week, according to the Waukee police blotter.
One Waukee teenager reportedly picked the wrong place to get high last week.
Just after midnight on Oct. 6, Waukee police found a vehicle parked in the parking lot at Waukee Elementary School. Officers said they detected the smell of marijuana coming from the car.
Inside, police found a 16-year-old boy from Waukee smoking pot. The juvenile was charged with possession of a controlled substance. His case will be referred to juvenile court.
