UPDATE: Classes Resume After Prairieview Evacuation
The Waukee Fire Department was dispatched to the Prairieview School this morning around 10 a.m.

Students at Prairieview School were evacuated from the building this morning around 10 a.m.
Reports say fire alarms went off at the school around 10 a.m. and students and staff were ushered outside.
Due to inclement weather, students were moved to the gymnasium at Waukee High School while Waukee firefighers determine the cause of the alarm.

Mackenzie Sposeto, a school resource officer with the Waukee Community Schools, said fire officials were on the scene to determine the cause of the alarm. Authorities found no signs of fire or smoke.
The cause of the alarm has not yet been released. Classes have resumed as scheduled.
