Sign Up Today for the Waukee Public Library Reading Tutoring Program
The Waukee Public Library is offering tutoring for elementary and middle school age readers. Sign up begins today.

The has partnered with Upper Iowa University to help young readers get a leg up on reading this school year.
The program, targeting students in kindergarten through 8th grade, matches students with tutors in an effort to increase literacy in young readers.
A pilot version of the program began this summer with two Upper Iowa University tutors and approximately nine students, said an article in the Des Moines Register online.

The program has garnered significant interest from parents and with space at a premium, is expected to fill up fast.
