Waukee Boys Clinch State Golf Title by One Stroke

The Waukee boys golf team captured its second state title in three years at this weekend's Class 4-A state meet.

The Waukee boys golf team shot a 617 in the final round of state tournament golf Saturday to win its second team championship in three years.

The Warriors edged out Cedar Rapids Kennedy by a single shot, shooting 308 on Friday and 309 Saturday.

All six Waukee players shot under 80 in Friday’s first round, with a similar second round Saturday at the Tournament Club of Iowa.

The 2012 golf season has been a successfull one for Waukee golf. The Waukee girls’ team won the Class 4-A championship in May.
