Tee Off at Waukee's Sugar Creek Golf Course This Summer
It's one of Waukee's best kept secrets but the Sugar Creek golf course is open and ready for play.
Past Waukee's downtown Triangle, Waukee Elementary and only blocks from the cemetery, sits one of Waukee's premier recreation spots.
The at 1505 Sixth St. is truly one of Waukee's hidden gems. Unless you're from around here, you might not even know it exists.
Opened in 2000, Sugar Creek features 9 holes on 2,373 yards of rolling greens. The course is home to both men's and women's leagues and offers individual and group golf lessons from pros Jim Webb, Sarah Bidney, Chad Proehl and Judd Gibb.
