Tuesdays on the Triangle Music Series Starts Tonight

Looking for an official kick-off to the summer? Look no further than the Tuesdays on the Triangle music series. It starts tonight at 7 p.m.

Tuesdays on the Triangle, sponsored , is an outdoor music series, held rain or shine, on downtown Waukee's historic Triangle at Sixth Street and Ashworth. The music series is free and open to everyone.

Cindy DePond, board member with the , said the event is an integral part of the Arts Council's community outreach.

"This is a community event," said DePond. "We want everyone to bring their lawn chairs and just enjoy some great music. We also encourage people to come out and support our local downtown businesses."

The music series begins tonight and runs every Tuesday in June. The schedule of performers is as follows:

June 5 - Bella Soul featuring Brandon and Tina Findlay (variety - Jazz vocals and guitar)

June 12 - Matt Woods (Blues vocal and guitar)

June 19 - Ortonville Circus (Bluegrass band)

June 26 - Exit 113 (50s, 60s, 70s Rock 'n' Roll)
