Waukee Area Historical Society to Host All Saints Day Cemetery Walk Thursday
The Waukee Area Historical Society will host the first annual Cemetery Walk on Thursday, Nov. 1 in the Waukee Cemetery.
The Waukee Area Historical Society wants to take you on a walk through the past as it hosts its first annual Cemetery Walk on All Saints Day, Thursday, Nov. 1.
Participants are asked to bring their flashlights as they take a guided tour through the Waukee Cemetery to learn about the prominent citizens of Waukee who shaped the community.
Along the walk, particpants will hear from members of the Waukee Area Historical Society as they will dress as the deceased to share the stories and the contributions they made to the city through the years.

Hot cider and cookies will conclude the Cemetery Walk. There is no charge to attend but those interested in participating are asked to RSVP to waukeehistory@gmail.com or to Terry Snyder at (515) 987-5308.
